No. DE-22(10)-2018.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20 of the Dentists Act, 1948, the Dental
Council of India, with the previous sanction of the Central Government, hereby makes the following Amendment to the
Principle Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental Colleges, Opening of New or Higher Course of Study or
Training and Increase of Admission Capacity in Dental Colleges) Regulations, 2006, published in Part III, Section 4 of
the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated 12th January, 2006 namely:-¹Hkkx IIIµ[k.M 4º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
1. Short title and Commencement:-
(i) These Regulations may be called the “Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental Colleges,
Opening of New or Higher Course of Study or Training and Increase of Admission Capacity in Dental
Colleges) (10th Amendment) Regulations, 2018”.
(ii) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Below the Time Schedule u/r 4(2) “Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental Colleges, Opening
of New or Higher Course of Study or Training and Increase of Admission Capacity in Dental Colleges) (8th Amendment)
Regulations, 2016”, notified on 11.03.2016, for receipt of application for opening of Higher Courses of Study / increase
of Postgraduate seats/renewal of permission and processing of the applications by the Central Government and the Dental
Council of India, the new Time Schedule for Admission and Counseling for Postgraduate Courses, pursuant to the
direction of the Government of India in its letter No.V.12012/2/2018-DE dated 05.02.2018, is hereby inserted:-
