1. संजक्षप्त नाम और प्रारम्भ:
(1) इन जर्जनयमों को “भारतीय दन्त पररषद ्(नए दन्त कॉलेजों की स्ट्थापना, दन्त कॉलेजों में अध्ययन अथर्ा
प्रजिक्षण के नए या उच्चतर पाठ्यक्रम का आरम्भ तथा दन्त कॉलेजों म ें प्रर्ेि क्षमता की र्जृ ि) (16र्ां
संिोधन) जर्जनयम, 2020 कहा जाएगा।
(2) ये सरकारी राजपत्र में प्रकािन की तारीख से लागू होंगे तथा केर्ल िैक्षजणक सत्र 2020-2021 के जलए
मान्य होंगे।

New Delhi, the 9th December, 2020
No. DE-22(16)-2020.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20 of the Dentists Act, 1948, the
Dental Council of India, with the previous approval of the Central Government, hereby makes the following
Amendment to the existing principal ―Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental Colleges, Opening of
New or Higher Course of Study or Training and Increase of Admission Capacity in Dental Colleges) Regulations,
2006‖, published in Part III, Section 4 of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated 12th January, 2006 namely:–
1. Short title and commencement:–
(1) These Regulations may be called the ―Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental
Colleges, Opening of New or Higher Course of Study or Training and Increase of Admission
Capacity in Dental Colleges) (16th Amendment) Regulations, 2020‖.
(ii) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the official Gazette and
shall be applicable only for the academic year 2020-21.
2. Below the Time Schedule u/r 4(2) ―Dental Council of India (Establishment of New Dental Colleges, Opening
of New or Higher Course of Study or Training and Increase of Admission Capacity in Dental Colleges) (13th
Amendment) Regulations, 2018‖ ―Time Schedule for completion of admission process for first BDS Course for
academic year 2018-19 and onwards‖, notified on 11.06.2018, the following Time Schedule for Admission and
Counseling for undergraduate Course only for the Academic session 2020-2021, pursuant to the directions of the
Government of India in its letter No.V.12025/139/2020-DE dated 17.11.2020, is hereby inserted:-
