No. A-12013/13/RR/2016-UIDAI (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 54 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016), the Unique Identification Authority of India hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the Unique Identification Authority of India (Appointment of Officers and Employees) Regulations, 2020, namely:— 1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These regulations may be called the Unique Identification Authority of India (Appointment of Officers and Employees) Amendment Regulations, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Unique Identification Authority of India (Appointment of Officers and Employees) Regulations, 2020, in regulation 11, in sub-regulation (2), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:— “Provided that up to four posts of Deputy Director General and up to two posts of Director may be filled by appointment of officers posted by the Government of India in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training on tenure deputation from the all-India Services and the Group ‘A’ Services of the Central Government participating in the Central Staffing Scheme operated by the said Department, by adopting the Central Staffing Scheme procedure, and for the posts so filled the recruitment method of Selection Committee shall not apply.”.
