NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 5th September, 2018
No. DE-97(2)-2018.—In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Dental Council of India
under Section 20 of the Dentists Act, 1948, the Dental Council of India, with the previous sanction of
the Central Government, hereby makes the following amendment to the existing Principal “Revised
Dentists (Code of Ethics) Regulations, 2014” published and notified in Part III, Section 4 of the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated 27.06.2014:—
1. Short title and commencement:—
(i) These Regulations may be called the Draft Revised Dentists (Code of Ethics)
(2nd Amendment) Regulations, 2018.
(ii) They shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the “Revised Dentists (Code of Ethics) Regulations, 2014”, after Regulation 8.9.6, a new
regulation 8.9.7 shall be inserted as under:—
“8.9.7 Not enriching his/her professional knowledge by participating in professional
meetings as part of Continuing Dental Education programs.”
