Read the following 1) From the Chief Engineer, NTR TGP, Srikalahasti, Lr.No. CE/NTR TGP/SKHT/TS/T3/ Flood, dated:29.11.2011. 2) From the District Collector, Chittoor, Lr. No. D2/ 11594/ 2011, Dated: 30.11.2011 addressed to the Commissioner for Disaster Management & Ex- Officio Principal Secretary to Government and copy marked to I & CAD Department. 3) From the Chief Engineer, NTR TGP, Srikalahasti, Lr.No. CE/ TGS/TS/T4/ F.TGP/116.950 dt. 16.12.2011. 4) From the Engineer,-in-Chief, ( Irrigation), Hyderabad Lr.No.ENC(I) /DCE(GDS)/Dy.EE/AEE.1/TGP Srikalahasti, dt. 04.01.2012. O R D E R: In his letters read above, the Chief Engineer, NTR Telugu Ganga Project, Srikalahasti has informed Government that due to sudden flood and breach of Ubbalamadugu M.I. tank, the BTUT @ 116.950 of SSG Canal of Telugu Ganga Project at Darakastu Village of B.N. Kandriga Mandal of Chittor District has been damaged. 2. For the purpose of temporary restoration, the Chief Engineer has submitted an estimate of Rs.49.60 Lakhs so as to supply water to the standing crops and requested Government to issue orders on the following. i) To take up the work by calling for short tender notice ii) To sanction and release an amount of Rs. 49,60,000/- and for permission to meet the expenditure from the TGP Flood Damage repair works. P.T.O.// 2 // 3. The Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), Hyderabad who was consulted in this matter has suggested to accord permission for taking up temporary restoration of works for supply of water to ayacut urgently as permanent restoration takes time. 4. In the circumstances mentioned above and after careful examination of the matter, Government hereby permit the Chief Engineer, NTR TGP, Srikalahasthi to take up the work of “Temporary Restoration of damaged SSG canal and accordingly sanction is accorded for an amount of Rs. 49.60 Lakhs (Rupees Forty nine lakhs Sixty thousands only) to take up the temporary restoration works as proposed. The Chief Engineer, TGP, Srikalahasti is also directed to call for short tender for expeditious execution of the works and meet the expenditure from out of the funds available under TGP flood damage repair works. 5. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (W&P) Dept. vide their U.O. No. 229/F7(A2)/12-1, Dated: 31.01.2012.
