From the Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission , Hyderabad, Lr.No. 019/RR/2011, dt. 28.02.2012. *** O R D E R: In the letter 4th read above, the Director of Economics and Statistics, Hyderabad has requested to amend the qualification to the post of Assistant Statistical Officer on par with Statistical Investigator, Grade-IV, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India. The Government have accepted the above proposal. 2. Accordingly, the following Notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette. NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Economics and Statistical Subordinate Service Rules, 1991 issued in G.O.Ms.No.42 Finance & Planning (Plg.Estt.) Department, dated 11.06.1991 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.165 Finance and Planning (Plg.XI) Department, dated 11.10.1999. AMENDMENT In the Annexure to the said Rules, in Column (3) against Category-2, Assistant Statistical Officer (formerly Statistician), for the existing entry, the Contd..Page..2..:: 2 :: following shall be substituted with retrospective effect from 01.01.2011 namely- “ Must Possess (i) Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the main Subjects. or (ii) Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics(with Statistics as a paper in one year or two years or all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. or (iii) Bachelor’s Degree with Economics (with Statistics as a paper in one year or two years or all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. or (iv) Bachelor’s Degree with Commerce (with Statistics as a paper in one year or two years or all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. or (v) Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Science (with Statistics as a paper in one year or two years or all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects. from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act or such institutions declared as deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commissions Act, 1956 or a foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.
