Order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, New Delhi Orders dated 23.01.2008 in Civil Appeal Nos. 5030-5036 of 2004 filed by Nagarjuna Grameena Bank and others. 2. Order of Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal Nos.5030-5036 of 2004, dated 8-12-2011. * * * * ORDER: Nagarjuna Grameena Bank and others, dissatisfied with the verdict of Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh, approached the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, over the issue of applicability of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Court Act, 1972 to the Scheduled Areas in the State of Andhra Pradesh and certain connected matters and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in their orders read above issued certain directions. 2. Government after careful examination of the issue have decided to constitute a High Power Committee to examine the issue of extension of Andhra Pradesh Civil Court Act, 1972 to the Scheduled Areas in the State of Andhra Pradesh. 3. Accordingly, Government hereby Constitute a High Power Committee with the following members; 1 Hon’ble Chief Minister Chairman 2. Minister for Tribal Welfare Member 3. Minister for Law Member 4. Chief Secretary to Government Member 5. Principal Secretary to Government Member- Tribal Welfare Convenor 6. Principal Secretary to Government Member Social Welfare 7. Principal Secretary to Government Member Home 8. Secretary to Government Member Law 9. 3 MsLA of Schedule Areas Members (To be nominated by Hon’ble C.M.) (P.T.O.)::2:: 4. The Committee shall meet as frequently as may be necessary to examine the issue in terms of the directions of the Supreme Court of India.
