Will the Minister of MINORITY AFFAIRS be please to State:-
(a) whether an assessment has been carried out to evaluate the impact of the Unified Waqf
Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and Development (UMEED) Portal on improving
transparency, efficiency and timeliness in the disbursement of scholarships and if so, the details
thereof particularly in Nabarangpur Lok Sabha Constituency of Odisha;
(b) the Key Performance indicators (KPIs) used for conducting such assessment along with the
indicators and findings used particularly for Nabarangpur Lok Sabha Constituency;
(c) the details of conclusions emerged from the assessment with regard to reduction in
processing time and pendency of cases particularly in the Nabarangpur Lok Sabha
Constituency;
(d) whether any corrective or remedial measures have been undertaken based on the said
findings; and
(e) if so, the details of such measures and the manner in which they are likely to be
implemented in the Nabarangpur Lok Sabha Constituency of Odisha?

(a): A statutory portal, namely the UMEED Central Portal–2025, has been developed in
accordance with Section 3(ka) of the Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and
Development Act, 1995, and was launched by the Ministry on 06.06.2025 for uploading details
of existing waqf and the property dedicated to the waqf, which also automate entire lifecycle of
waqf properties, including registration, verification, survey by the Collector, mutation, annual
account updates, audit, leasing and monitoring, ensuring transparency, efficiency and effective
management and faster grievance redressal. However, the said portal does not have any
provision for disbursement of scholarships.
