DARSHANA SINGH: SHRI SADANAND MHALU SHET TANAVADE: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the percentage of women among the beneficiaries who have received loans under the PM SVANidhi scheme since its inception; (b) the number of beneficiaries who have successfully completed all stages under the PM SVANidhi scheme and availed the third loan of ₹50,000; (c) whether Government has constructed housing units in various cities under the ‘Light House Projects’ (LHPs) for the urban poor; (d) if so, the details thereof; and (e) the estimated cost and the timeline for the completion of the identified Light House Projects across the country? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a): Since the inception of PM SVANidhi scheme till 1st March 2026, a total of 73,81,387 street vendors have availed loans under the scheme, out of which 46% are women beneficiaries. (b): Since the inception of PM SVANidhi scheme till 1st March 2026, a total of 7,24,084 street vendor beneficiaries have availed the third tranche loan of upto ₹50,000 under the scheme. (c): to (e): Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has been implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) since 25th June, 2015 with an aim to provide all weather pucca houses with basic civic amenities to all eligible urban beneficiaries across the country. Under PMAY- U, a Technology Sub-Mission (TSM) has been set up for promotion and adoption of innovative, sustainable, eco-friendly and disaster-resilient technologies and building materials by various stakeholders of construction sector for fast, cost effective and quality construction of houses across the country including hilly States/Union Territories (UTs). The Global Housing Technology Challenge - India (GHTC-India) was initiated to identify and mainstream globally best available proven construction technologies that are rapid, sustainable, green and disaster resilient. Under GHTC-India, a total of 54 proven technologies from across the world were shortlisted and grouped into six categories based on geo-climatic regions for adoption by States/UTs, which are available at https://ghtc- india.gov.in/Content/pdf/54_Tech_Compendium_with_Preface.pdf. …2/--2- Out of the identified 54 technologies under GHTC-India, six Light House Projects (LHPs) of more than 1,000 houses each with allied infrastructure facilities using six distinct technologies at a total cost of ₹843.59 crore are constructed at Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Rajkot (Gujarat), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Agartala (Tripura) and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh). The objective of implementation of LHPs was to enable States/UTs to adopt proven innovative housing construction technologies and demonstrate the delivery of ready-to-live houses with greater speed, cost efficiency, improved quality and sustainability. The LHPs were aimed to function as Live Laboratories to promote widespread learning among urban planners, builders and other stakeholders on the use of innovative construction technologies/systems on ground and mainstreaming in Indian context. The construction of LHPs at Chennai, Rajkot, Indore, Lucknow and Ranchi has been completed. The LHP at Agartala is at implementation stage. *****
