(a) whether the Government is aware that during the ongoing four-laning of
the Belgaum–Hungund–Raichur section of National Highway (NH)-748A
[Extension of State Highway (SH)-20], the National Highways Authority of India
(NHAI) has not provided for service roads and underpasses along the
overlapping sections of the existing State Highway in Raichur district, if so,
the details thereof; and
(b) whether the Government proposes to revise the Detailed Project Report
(DPR) to include service roads and underpasses at critical village junctions
such as Hirelekhehal, Mudgal, Kavitala and Siravar to ensure safe and
continued access for local residents and farmers, if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) Belgaum-Hungund-Raichur section of NH 748A is being constructed
from Km 0.0 to Km 273.40 (273.4 Km) in six packages. In Raichur district,
package 5 & 6 are under progress. These packages are being developed as an
access controlled highway. Considering the site condition, appropriate
underpasses and service roads to ensure safe and continued access for local
