SHOBHANABEN MAHENDRASINH BARAIYA: SHRI VIJAY BAGHEL: SHRI DAMODAR AGRAWAL: Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state: (a) the details of key features and objectives of the Comprehensive Internship Policy for the Sports Ecosystem launched in December, 2025 across the country especially Bengaluru in Karnataka and tribal and remote areas of Odisha including Nabarangpur; (b) the details of eligible internship areas such as sports science, anti-doping, event management and athlete support services and the institutional partners involved and the number of internship opportunities provided to tribal youth from Odisha and the said constituency; (c) the mechanisms put in place for monitoring, certification and transition into formal roles for interns completing the programme; and (d) whether the Government proposes to develop outcome metrics to assess the long-term impact of the internship policy on employability and sports professionalisation in Karnataka along with separate evaluation parameters for tribal and remote areas of Odisha, Page 1 of 2including Nabarangpur and if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise including the said places? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF YOUTH AFFAIRS & SPORTS [DR. MANSUKH MANDAVIYA] (a) to (c) The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has launched a Comprehensive Internship Policy for this Ministry and its Autonomous Bodies to provide structured opportunities for young professionals, researchers and students to gain practical exposure in sports administration, management, science and governance. The details of the Policy, including its salient features and objectives, the eligible areas for internship such as sports science, anti-doping, event management and athlete support services, the institutional partners associated with the programme, the number of internship opportunities available, as well as the mechanisms established for monitoring, certification and facilitating the transition of interns into formal roles upon successful completion of the programme, are available in the public domain on the website of this Ministry.
