(a) whether the construction of the flyover and associated road
infrastructure on New Rohtak Road from Anand Parvat up to its
connection with Rani Jhansi Road in Delhi has been undertaken
under any Central or Centrally assisted scheme;
(b) if so, the year of approval, executing agency, approved
project length and total sanctioned cost of the said flyover and
road works;
(c) the present status of construction including physical and
financial progress achieved till date;
(d) whether any delays, design modifications or cost revisions
have occurred during execution and if so, the reasons therefor;
and
(e) the expected timeline for completion and commissioning of
the remaining works?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS
(SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI)(a) to (e) Government through Ministry of Road Transport &
Highways is primarily responsible for development &
maintenance of National Highways (NH). The subject stretch is
not NH and it is State Road under the jurisdiction of Government
of National Capital Territory (NCT) Delhi.
The projects under Central Road and Infrastructure Fund
(CRIF) are sanctioned by the Central Government based on the
inter-se priority of works recommended by the State
Governments/Union Territories (UTs), and the funds released are
as consolidated fund to State Governments / Union Territories
(UTs).
The strengthening works on New Rohtak Road from Anand
Parvat up to its connection with Rani Jhansi Road in Delhi under
Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) have been
undertaken by Delhi Governemnt. The work was approved for Rs.
10.37 Cr. in year 2025 with completion time of six months from
the date of award of the work.
