SHRI AMAR SHARADRAO KALE: Will the MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार्ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether approximately 4.52 kms. of road which passes through forest area has been included in improvement works of Karanja-Waghoda- Jalalkheda Road (SH-323) and Hingani Bor Dharan-Dhanoli-Kajli-Savli to National Highway-06 Road (MDR-58) under Hybrid Annuity Programme (Phase-II) of Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) in Wardha district; (b) whether necessary permission/NOC has been obtained from the Forest Department for the said work; (c) if not, the action taken or proposed to be taken by the Government regarding issuing of work order, construction of bridges and felling of trees without permission; (d) whether it has come to the notice of Government that the said area falls under the habitat of wild animals like tigers, bears etc. and construction of road may adversely affect the ecosystem and wildlife; and (e) if so, the action taken for protection of forest and environment and the wildlife? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI)(a) to (e) The Government in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is concerned with the development and maintenance of National Highways. Karanja-Waghoda-Jalalkheda Road (SH-323) and Hingani Bor Dharan-Dhanoli-Kajli-Savli to National Highway-06 Road (MDR-58) are State roads, the development of which is being implemented by Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) through State Government funds. *****
