(a) the extent to which the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway passing through Dahod
Lok Sabha Constituency has contributed to industrial development and
improved logistics connectivity in the area;
(b) the number of new projects being implemented under ‘PM GatiShakti’ to
connect the interior areas of Dahod Lok Sabha Constituency with National
Highways; and
(c) the details of the plans for developing way-side amenities along the
Expressway in Dahod Lok Sabha Constituency to generate employment
opportunities for local youth?

(a) The section of Delhi Mumbai Expressway (DME) traversing through Dahod
to Vadodara is to be completed. The key benefits of the project are as under:
i. The proposed road would act as the major artery for the economic growth of
this region and the nation as a whole.
ii. It will enhance economic development including the growth of local tourism
and a resultant boost to the local economy by attracting investment to the
region.iii. Expressway will provide better, faster, safer, and smoother connectivity for
the commuters and will benefit the interstate trade, especially in the
movement of perishable goods.
iv. Savings in vehicle operating costs by reduced fuel consumption and
maintenance costs.
(b) The project of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is to be completed and stretches
of NH-56 and NH-47 passing through Dahod District are presently under
operation and Maintenance stage. The work of preparation of the Detailed
Project Report (DPR) for the upgradation of Dahod- Alirajpur and Ferkuva
Section of NH-56 has been taken up. The decisions of implementation and
investments are taken based on the outcome of DPR, fulfilment of the criteria,
requirement of connectivity, traffic density and synergy with PM Gati Shakti
National Master Plan.
(c) The development of 2 Nos. of wayside Amenities in Dahod Lok Sabha
constituency on PPP mode is in progress through National Highways Logistics
Management Limited (NHLML). The details are as under:
