(a) whether the Government proposes to initiate action for the
development of NH-744 in a time-bound manner in Kollam Lok Sabha
Constituency, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government has fixed any time target for granting
approval for the development of NH-744 in Kollam Lok Sabha
Constituency, if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has initiated any action for
disbursing compensation to landowners whose land was notified for
the development of NH-744, if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether it has come to the notice of the Government that
landowners are facing hardship due to the said notification and
delay in disbursement of compensation, if so, the details of action
taken thereon; and
(e) whether the Government has initiated action for completion of
the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of NH-744 in Kollam Lok Sabha
Constituency in a time-bound manner and if so, the details of action
taken thereon?

(a) to (e) Government has taken up Detailed Project Report (DPR)
for NH-744 in the Kollam Lok Sabha Constituency. The DPR is beingprepared with corridor-based approach in three packages, and
progress is as follows:
i. For Edamon-Kadambattukonam (39 km) stretch, DPR has been
completed.
ii. For Edamon-Aryankavu (21 km) stretch, DPR is at the final
feasibility stage
iii. For Aryankavu-Puliyurai (2.3 km) stretch, which falls partly in
Tamil Nadu, DPR is at the feasibility stage, and statutory
clearances including Forest, Wildlife and Environmental
Clearances are being processed.
After finalization of DPR and receipt of wildlife clearance, the
decision on project implementation would be taken based on traffic
density and synergy of the project with the principles of PM-
Gatishakti.
