be pleased to state:
(a) the specific actions taken to address the severe traffic
congestion, rising number of accidents and the poor condition of the
Pune–Nashik Highway particularly the stretch passing through the
Chakan and Khed industrial areas;
(b) the details of any proposed infrastructure projects such as
dedicated bypasses, flyovers or elevated corridors for this critical
economic corridor;
(c) the timeline for the commencement and completion of these
projects; and
(d) whether the Government is considering a special financial
package for the development of roads and highways in the industrial
belts of Maharashtra to support economic growth and ensure the
safety of commuters, if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c) The Pune-Nashik section of National Highway (NH)-60
has been developed in 03 sections as follows:(i) Nashik - Sinnar section (23 km): The section has been
developed as 4-lane highway and is being operated and
maintained by BOT Concessionaire.
(ii) Sinnar - Khed (135 km): This section has been developed
as 4-lane highway. In order to strengthen and improve the road
surface, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken
up white-topping of the existing 4-lane carriageway which will
be completed by 10.10.2026.
(iii) Khed - Nashik Phata section (29.919 km): This section
has already been developed as 4-lane. Further, considering the
high traffic and congestion on this section, Government has
taken up 8-lane elevated corridor in Nashik Phata to Rajguru
Nagar (Khed) section at a cost of Rs.7415 crore.
(d) Development and maintenance of NHs in the country including
the State of Maharashtra is a continuous process. Government
keeps on receiving/ undertaking/ preparing Detailed Project Report
(DPR)/proposal for widening/development of NHs in the country.
Decision for project implementation and investment is taken based
on the outcome of DPR, requirement of connectivity, traffic density,
synergy with PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan etc.
