EFFECTIVENESS OF RERA WEB PORTAL
2612. DR. LAXMIKANT BAJPAYEE:
Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether Government has developed a unified RERA Web Portal, if so, the details of its
purpose and benefits;
(b) the improvements still needed in the portal to achieve the desired results; and
(c) the manner in which Government proposes to overcome challenges for the effectiveness of
this portal like state-level inconsistencies as many State Portals have missing and outdated
information and not updating data regularly, different States using different IT systems,
problems in smooth data migration, State level rules variations, builder non-compliance,
issues of enforcement and judicial delays etc.?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS
(SHRI TOKHAN SAHU)
(a) to (c): Yes. A unified RERA portal was launched during the 5th Meeting of the Central Advisory
Council (CAC) on 4th September 2025, to streamline access to information related to RERA
for all stakeholders. The weblink of the aforesaid portal may be accessed at
https://rera.mohua.gov.in/.
Further, login credentials have been shared by the Ministry with all the Real Estate
Regulatory Authorities to update the status of RERA implementation on the portal.
Accordingly, implementation status of RERA across all States/UTs, is published weekly
on the portal comprising the number of registered real estate projects & agents, complaints
disposed, etc. This centralised digital platform portal aims to play a pivotal role in
enhancing cross-learning among Real Estate Regulatory Authorities and facilitating the
homebuyers, by providing them easy access to updated information and State RERA
portals, thus promoting transparency.
Furthermore, the Real Estate Regulatory Authorities of all States / UTs have been requested
to take necessary action for API-based integration to enable smooth data migration &
seamless integration of State RERA portals with the unified RERA portal and also regularly
update their respective websites with relevant details of all registered real estate projects
for public viewing.
