ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) to (e): Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has been implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) since 25.06.2015 with an aim to provide all weather pucca houses with basic civic amenities to eligible urban beneficiaries across the country. Based on the learnings from the experiences of implementation of PMAY-U, MoHUA has revamped the scheme and launched PMAY-U 2.0 ‘Housing for All’ Mission with effect from 01.09.2024 for implementation in urban areas across the country to support 1 crore additional eligible beneficiaries in next five years. PMAY-U & PMAY-U 2.0 are demand driven schemes and there are no fixed targets. States/UTs assess the requirement through their Urban Local Bodies (ULBs)/Implementing Agencies in their respective jurisdictions, select the beneficiaries based on eligibility criteria and implement housing projects. Based on the demand survey and selection of beneficiaries, the project proposals are prepared and approved by the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) headed by the Chief Secretary of States/UTs for further consideration of release of Central Assistance by Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC). Based on the project proposal submitted by States/UTs, a total of 122.28 lakh houses including 10.66 lakh under PMAY-U 2.0 have been sanctioned by the Ministry, so far. Out of which, 114.84 lakh houses have been grounded and 97.02 lakh are completed/delivered to the beneficiaries across the country as on 22.01.2026. State/UT-wise details of houses sanctioned, grounded and completed/delivered to the beneficiaries under PMAY-U & PMAY-U 2.0 since inception as well as houses completed during last five years along with Central Assistance released and utilized under the schemes are given at Annexure. *****Annexure referred in reply to RS USQ No. 1037 due for answer on 09.02.2026 State/UT-wise details of houses sanctioned, grounded and completed/delivered to the beneficiaries since inception as well as houses completed during last five years along with Central Assistance released and utilized under PMAY-U & PMAY-U 2.0 Sr. Name of the Physical Progress of Houses Houses Financial Progress No. State/ UT (Nos) Completed (₹ in Crore) Sanctioned Grounded Construction during last Central Assistance Completed five years Released Utilised (2020-25) 1 setatS Andhra 19,48,070 18,34,207 11,23,682 7,54,944 24,044.8 22,670.8 Pradesh 2 Bihar 4,45,103 3,72,294 1,98,481 1,27,924 4,651.85 4,041.9 3 Chhattisgarh 3,05,910 2,91,215 2,62,437 1,76,002 4,396.13 4,147.3 4 Goa 3,174 3,174 3,174 2,218 75.14 75.1 5 Gujarat 10,29,497 10,02,277 9,66,065 5,95,573 20,183.98 19,808.5 6 Haryana 1,32,846 86,725 73,134 46,026 1,739.01 1,454.2 7 Himachal 14,026 12,940 11,914 7,967 226.99 211.7 Pradesh 8 Jharkhand 2,43,358 2,10,742 1,65,760 85,325 3,215.78 2,966.0 9 Karnataka 5,77,669 4,98,457 3,99,076 2,18,681 7,776.84 7,258.2 10 Kerala 1,62,134 1,55,608 1,39,646 65,455 2,499.93 2,384.6 11 Madhya 10,02,259 9,51,660 8,96,760 5,46,046 15,873.71 15,387.1 Pradesh 12 Maharashtra 12,78,999 11,75,695 10,43,061 6,94,988 20,228.64 19,582.6 13 Odisha 2,23,972 1,92,718 1,69,067 95,877 2,790.26 2,429.6 14 Punjab 1,50,610 1,24,216 1,02,370 73,947 2,192.73 1,846.1 15 Rajasthan 3,48,053 3,11,612 2,64,828 1,56,489 5,592.16 5,066.1 16 Tamil Nadu 6,79,186 6,68,510 6,20,093 3,39,491 10,741.94 10,374.7 17 Telangana 3,62,294 2,49,402 2,25,397 1,26,276 3,972.99 3,780.2 18 Uttar Pradesh 21,02,327 17,63,737 17,17,547 12,17,010 28,716.78 26,723.4 19 Uttarakhand 66,577 63,525 51,565 26,416 1,112.75 984.2 20 West Bengal 6,18,380 6,09,513 5,09,483 2,91,055 8,919.47 8,525.8 Sub- total (States) :- 1,16,94,444 1,05,78,227 89,43,540 56,47,710 1,68,951.87 1,59,717.9 21 setatS tsaE htroN Arunachal 13,346 11,924 8,471 6,358 201.16 166.2 Pradesh 22 Assam 1,87,028 1,73,323 1,44,107 1,06,042 2,483.96 2,286.6 23 Manipur 56,047 50,201 22,466 13,719 582.37 468.5 24 Meghalaya 7,072 4,125 2,841 1,574 76.70 33.2 25 Mizoram 39,616 39,123 33,946 22,436 520.36 502.4 26 Nagaland 31,067 31,060 30,147 27,412 443.36 408.3 27 Sikkim 299 299 219 160 7.09 4.3 28 Tripura 90,315 88,468 81,921 34,686 1,363.72 1,254.5 Sub- total (N.E.
