SHRI SASIKANTH SENTHIL: Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state: (a) the details of the funds allocated, released and actually utilised under the major youth and sports schemes, including Khelo India, National Sports Development Fund and youth development programmes in Tamil Nadu during the last three years and the current year, year and Scheme-wise; (b) the details of the number of sports infrastructure projects, academies and training centres sanctioned, completed and pending, district-wise in Tamil nadu, under said schemes; (c) whether any outcome-based evaluation or third-party assessment has been conducted by the Government to measure youth participation, athlete performance and regional coverage in the State and if so, the details thereof; and (d) the details of the steps taken by the Government to address inter- district disparities and ensure effective utilisation of funds and facilities in rural and aspirational districts of Tamil Nadu? 1ANSWER THE MINISTER OF YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS (DR. (b) Under the component “Creation and Up-gradation of Sports Infrastructure” of the Khelo India Scheme and National Sports Development Funds (NSDF), financial assistance have been provided for development of sports infrastructure such as synthetic athletic track, synthetic hockey field, synthetic turf football ground, multipurpose hall, swimming pool etc. have been sanctioned across the country, including in the state of Tamil Nadu.
