SHRI SUDHAKAR SINGH: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार्ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether the construction work on the proposed road connecting Naya Bhojpur (Buxar) in Bihar to Janeshwar Mishra Bridge (Ballia district) in Uttar Pradesh has not yet started; and (b) if so, the reasons therefor along with the time by which the construction work of the said road is likely to be started and likely to be completed? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI) (a) & (b) The Government in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), is primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of National Highways (NHs) in the country including Bihar. The road proposed to connect Naya Bhojpur (Buxar) in Bihar to Janeshwar Mishra Bridge in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh is not a National Highway.
