(a) whether the Union Government has taken adequate steps to complete all
the National Highway projects being executed by the National Highways
Authority of India in the State of Tamil Nadu and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the total amount sanctioned, disbursed and utilised in the last four years,
year-wise, for the execution of National Highway projects in Tamil Nadu,
particularly in the Vellore Lok Sabha Constituency; and
(c) the effective steps taken by the Union Government to expedite the Rs.
1,338 crore highway project for an access-controlled highway along NH-40
linking Chennai, Bengaluru and Vellore?

(a) Details of the ongoing National Highway (NH) projects in the State of
Tamil Nadu as on date are annexed. The Government actively monitors
National Highway (NH) projects in close coordination with project
implementing agencies, State Governments, contractors/developers. Periodic
review meetings are held at various levels to resolve the issues and expedite
progress. In addition, Government has taken many initiatives to avoid or
reduce project delays, including streamlining land acquisition & environment
clearances, online approval of General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) of
Railways Road Over Bridges/Road Under Bridges (ROBs/RUBs).(b) The Details are annexed.
(c) The work of access controlled Highway of 4- lane with paved shoulders
from Walajahpet/Ranipet to Tamil Nadu/Andhra Pradesh Border of NH-40 in
Tamilnadu for a length of 28.02 Km at a cost of Rs.1,338.14 Crore was awarded
on 24.01.2025 on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). Appointed Date for the project
has been declared on 30.09.2025 with scheduled completion on 29.09.2027.
Out of total 28.02 Km, encumbrance-free land for 25.52 Km (91%) has
been made available to the Concessionaire. For the balance 2.50 km length,
disbursement of compensation is in progress. The progress of work is being
