Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS

be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the total length in kilometres and estimated cost
of National Highway (NH) works implemented by the Government in
Tamil Nadu during the periods 2014–19, 2019–24 and 2024–26 till
March, NH-wise;
(b) the number of toll plazas opened on National Highways in Tamil
Nadu during the above periods and the details of toll collection;
(c) the number of toll plazas in Tamil Nadu that have been handed
over to the National Highways Authority of India during the said
period and the toll rates and collection made thereof; and
(d) the present status of the proposed National Highway projects
from Dindigul to Karaikudi, Dindigul to Sabarimala and Dindigul to
Semmadaipatty?

(a) to (c) The details of length of National Highway works
implemented in the State of Tamil Nadu during the periods 2014–19,
2019–24 and 2024–26 (up to 28.02.2026) along with the estimated
cost, number of toll plazas opened, toll collection and the number of
toll plazas handed over to the National Highways Authority of India
along with toll collection are annexed.
(d) The present status of the National Highway projects from
Dindigul to Karaikudi, Dindigul to Sabarimala and Dindigul to

Thirupathur (Km. 84+00) of NH-383 is
under maintenance.
Widening to 4-lane of Thirupathur -
Karaikudi section of NH-338 is in
progress, and will be completed by July
2026.
2 NH- Dindigul to The DPR of Didigal to Plapally section
183 Sabarimala section is under preparation.
The section from Plapally to Pumba
(near Sabarimalai) is a State Highway
and is maintained by the State
Government.
3 NH- Dindigul to The existing Dindigul to Semmadaipatti
83 Semmadaipatti Section of NH-83 has been widened to
section 4-lane and is under maintenance
