ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) & (e): The PM-eBus Sewa Scheme aims to deploy 10,000 air-conditioned electric buses across more than 100 cities. The Scheme prioritizes smaller cities and cities with no organised bus service. By exclusively providing electric buses, the scheme helps in reducing emissions and promoting sustainable urban mobility. Also, Central Assistance (CA) for development/upgradation of bus depot infrastructure and creation of behind-the-meter (BTM) power infrastructure is provided under the Scheme. Under the said Scheme, so far, a total of 750 e-buses has been sanctioned to 10 participating cities of Karnataka. Out of these 750 e-buses, 100 e-buses have been sanctioned to Belagavi. The city-wise details are provided in Annexure-I. (b): The State Govt. of Karnataka informed that Central bus station was constructed and inaugurated on 27.12.2022 and Belagavi City bus station was constructed under Smart City scheme and was inaugurated on 04.10.2025. (c): Belagavi Smart City Ltd. informed that Non-Motorized Vehicle (NMV) Lanes, which include cycle tracks and footpaths along existing roads, are part of comprehensive plan to ensure safe connectivity for all modes of transport within the Belagavi city. Approximately 12.38 Kilometers of NMV lanes are designed as smart roads with pedestrian-friendly pathways, cycle tracks and improved carriageways. (d): The State Govt. of Karnataka has informed that National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken up the Ring Road project and the current status is as per Annexure-II. *****ANNEXURE-I City-wise details of the buses and associated infrastructure under the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme No. of buses Civil sanctioned BTM sanctioned S.No City sanctioned amount (in Cr.) amount (in Cr.) 1 Belagavi 100 6.85 - 2 Hubballi-Dharwad 100 8.75 - 3 Kalaburagi 100 2.02 12.22 4 50 (Depot-3) 6.00 4.81 Mangaluru 50 (Mudipu) - - 5 Mysuru 100 7.36 6.46 6 Bellary 50 2.25 - 7 Vijaypura 50 6.00 7.86 8 Davanagere 50 - 6.47 9 Shivamogga 50 - - 10 Tumkuru 50 - - Total 750 39.23 37.82ANNEXURE-II The package-wise details of the Ring Road project are as under: Package Stage Package-I Bidding Package- II & III Detailed Project Report (DPR)
