(b) the details of the amount allocated and works done during the last five years for Dindigul
district of Tamil Nadu under the PMJVK scheme?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF MINORITY AFFAIRS
(SHRI KIREN RIJIJU)
(a) & (b): The Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) is a Centrally Sponsored
Scheme of the Ministry of Minority Affairs aimed at creating community infrastructure in
identified Minority Concentration Areas across the Country. The Scheme supports projects in
sectors such as health, education, skill development, women-centric initiatives, drinking water
and sanitation, sports, renewable energy, tourism, animal husbandry, and other community
infrastructure.
PMJVK is a demand-driven scheme, and no State-wise allocation of funds is made
under the Scheme. Funds are released against eligible projects approved under the Scheme.
The State-wise details of funds released during the last five years, including for the State of
Tamil Nadu, are provided at Annexure-I.
No project has been sanctioned in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu under PMJVK during
the last five years. Accordingly, no funds have been allocated or released, and no works have
been undertaken in the district under the Scheme during this period.
