(a) the significance of Raipur-Dhanbad (Rajganj) Economic Corridor Project for
regional and national economic development;
(b) whether the Government has received any representation to expedite the
proposed Raipur–Dhanbad (Rajganj) Economic Corridor Project;
(c) if so, the details of action taken by the Government in this regard;
(d) the present status of the project and whether land acquisition is
progressing slowly and if so, the steps taken to accelerate it;
(e) the estimated time required to complete the remaining land acquisition
work; and
(f) the likely benefits of timely implementation of the project for industrial
towns, local citizens and the economic activities of Eastern India

(a) to (f) Raipur-Dhanbad (Rajganj) Economic Corridor was approved under
Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I. This Economic Corridor will boost the
economy as well as social growth of entire region of Chhattisgarh &
Jharkhand. Various representations were received to expedite the
construction of this Economic Corridor. The current status of Corridor is given
in Annexure.Annexure
