(a) whether the Ministry has received any request(s) from the
Government of Andhra Pradesh for construction and/or repair of
roads in the State under Central Road and Infrastructure Fund
Scheme during the last three years and the current year, year-
wise;
(b) if so, the details thereof, National Highway-wise and district-
wise;
(c) whether the Ministry has sent any list to the State Government
for prioritizing the projects for sanction under Central Road and
Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) and if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the details of works that have been undertaken, completed and
are in progress during the last three years and the current year,
year-wise and NH-wise in Andhra Pradesh?

(a)to(d) Government in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways
is primarily responsible for development and maintenance of
National Highways (NHs). Additionally, Government takes updevelopment and maintenance of State Roads as per the criteria
under the amended CRIF Act, 2000, which provides for finalization
of the list of projects prioritized by State Governments / UTs within
the framework of PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, being the
guiding principle for identification, sanction and implementation of
Projects. Administrative Approval, Technical Approval and Financial
Sanction of projects of the approved list is given by concerned State
Governments/ UTs, with permissible excess cost of upto 10
percentage over approved cost. Further responsibility for Project
implementation lies with the concerned State / UT Government, with
Project monitoring and quality control of works to be done at
State/UT level at regular intervals ensuring timely completion of
works.
