SHRI TAPIR GAO: SHRI DINESHBHAI MAKWANA: SHRI CHANDRA PRAKASH CHOUDHARY: SHRI RAJIV PRATAP RUDY: SHRI DILIP SAIKIA: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार्ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) the present status of Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I including the length of roads constructed and percentage of target achieved; (b) the total National Highway network length as of December 2025 and the growth in access-controlled expressways since 2014; (c) the details of major highway and tunnel projects inaugurated during 2019 to 2025 including in Jharkhand and also Sonamarg Tunnel and Dwarka Expressway; (d) the target for capital expenditure achieved and the roadmap for Phase-II of Bharatmala Pariyojana in the country including Jharkhand; and (e) the progress made with respect to expansion of the proposed highway from two-lanes to four-lanes (132 km) from Baihata Chariali (Kamrup) to Mission Chariali, Tezpur (Sonitpur) in Assam?ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI) (a) Bharatmala Pariyojana was approved by the Government in the year 2017 covering a length of 34,800 km to improve connectivity and reduce logistic cost in the country. As of December 2025, projects covering length of 26,425 km have been awarded and 21,783 km have been constructed. (b) The total National Highway network length as of December 2025 is 1,46,342 km. The length of access-controlled highways/ expressways has increased from 93 km in 2014 to 3,498 km in 2025. (c) A total of 236 projects under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, covering a length of 13,178 km across the country, including those in the state of Jharkhand were inaugurated during 2019 to 2025. The details of inauguration of Dwarka Expressway and Sonmarg Tunnel project is as under: S. The decisions of implementation and investments are taken up based on the outcome of DPR, fulfilment of the criteria, requirement of connectivity and synergy with PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan. In addition to this, the work of Mangaldoi Bypass project on the above corridor is under construction stage with Physical progress of 59%. *****
