SMART CITY MISSION IN TELANGANA
2620. SHRI ANIL KUMAR YADAV MANDADI:
Will the MINISTER OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the projects sanctioned under Smart City Mission (SCM) for the State of
Telangana has been completed;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the funds earmarked for SCM for the State of Telangana has been released
fully; and
(d) if so, details of the funds released till March, 2025?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS
(SHRI TOKHAN SAHU)
(a) to (d): Under Smart Cities Mission (SCM), 2 cities, viz. Greater Warangal and
Karimnagar were selected in the State of Telangana. As reported by the State, as on
01.03.2026, out of a total 168 projects amounting to ₹2,895 Cr, 143 projects (85% of
total projects) amounting to ₹2,520 Cr have been completed and the remaining 25
projects amounting to ₹375 Cr are at implementation stage.
The city-wise details of Central Financial Assistance claimed and utilized in the state
of Telangana is as under:
