Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details of Startup Village Entrepreneurship Programme
(SVEP) including its main objectives, methodology and goals;
(b) the number of women and youth of the country who have been
covered under this programme and provided entrepreneurship
training so far, State-wise;
(c) the number of Self-Help-Groups (SHGs) covered under SVEP in
the State of Rajasthan and the number of women and youth
imparted training and provided financial assistance, district-
wise;
(d) whether special programmes or workshops have been
organized under this programme on the occasion of
International Women's Day, if so, the details of each year since
2014; and
(e) whether the Government has any plans to expand SVEP to
more districts and States and if so, the details of new areas
proposed thereunder?

(a): Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) is the the
sub-scheme under the DeendayalAntyodayaYojana-National Rural
Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) programme supports the Self-Help
Group (SHG) and their family members to set-up small enterprises in
the non-farm sector. SVEP develops an eco-system for enterprise
development in rural areas, with SHG households, which includes:
a. Community Enterprise Fund (CEF), a dedicated fund for
providing loans to entrepreneurs

(CRP-EP) for providing Business Support Services
c. The services include identifying business ideas, preparation of
business plans, providing trainings, accessing loans from
banks, maintenance of accounts, marketing etc.
d. Dedicated centre for providing information to entrepreneurs
called Block Resource Centre (BRC)
e. Trained human resources consisting of Block Programme
Manager (BPM), Mentor and CRP-EP
(b): Number of SHG members and their family members covered
and provided entrepreneurship training, State wise, are given at
Annexure-I
(c): Number of Self-Help-Groups (SHGs) covered under SVEP in the
State of Rajasthan imparted training and provided financial
assistance, district wise are given at Annexure-II
