BAG MITALI: Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the details of funds (in Rs.) sanctioned, allocated and utilised under Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) since the inception of the scheme, States/UT-wise and year- wise; (b) the details of faculty and non-faculty sanctioned and vacant posts in EMRSs as of, 01 January 2026, category-wise and State-wise; (c) the number of EMRSs with no faculty, less than 10 faculty members and less than 20 faculty members, category-wise; and (d) the details/numbers of the dropout of students of EMRS since the inception of the scheme, year-wise and State-wise? NESTS carried out its first drive for direct recruitment of 10391 posts through ESSE-2023 and selected teaching and non-teaching staff have been posted in various EMRSs. In addition to the direct recruitment, NESTS also has advised State Governments to depute staff on deputation. Further, directions have been issued to State EMRS Societies to engage guest teachers against vacancies, and non-teaching staff on outsourcing basis/local engagement, so that academic activities are not hampered.
