SHRI PUSHPENDRA SAROJ: Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) continues to function as an autonomous organisation under the Government, if so, the details of major programmes and activities undertaken by NYKS during the last one year and the current year, State/UT-wise; (b) the details of the Annual Action Plan for FY 2025–26, the activities completed against approved targets along with the status of audited financial statements for the said period; (c) the sanctioned strength, recruitment undertaken in recent years and the present posting and employment status of officers and staff of NYKS, State/UT-wise; and (d) the mandate of NYKS in youth mobilisation and nation- building and the Ministry’s medium and long-term vision including restructuring proposals or reform measures for strengthening its role and effectiveness? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF YOUTH AFFAIRS & SPORTS [DR. MANSUKH MANDAVIYA] (a) Yes, Mera Yuva Bharat (erstwhile Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan) continues to function as an autonomous organisation under the Government. The details of major programmes and activities undertaken by MY Bharat during the last one year (FY Page 1 of 212024-25) and the current year (FY 2025-26), State/UT-wise is placed at Annexure-1 & Annexure-2 respectively. (b). The Annual Action Plan for FY 2025-26 titled “Sashakt Yuva- Viksit Bharat Annual Plan 2025-26” is a youth centric programme aimed to harness the collective potential of India's youth, empowering them to contribute holistically to the country's development to realize the vision of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of Viksit Bharat@2047. The details of the programmes and activities completed against the approved targets as per the Annual Action Plan 2025-26 is placed at Annexure-3. The financial audit for FY 2025–26 is under process. (c) The sanctioned strength of MY Bharat is 2000. In the year 2025, recruitment has been made in MY Bharat. The occurrence and filling up of vacancies is a continuous process. The officers and staff are presently posted across State Offices, District Offices and Headquarters of Mera Yuva Bharat based on administrative requirements. The State/UT-wise deployment of staff is dynamic in nature and is reviewed periodically to ensure effective implementation of youth programmes across the country. (d) MY BHARAT (erstwhile NYKS), is an effective phygital platform which has democratised the process of involvement of youth in national building activities by offering them equal opportunity to register themselves for different volunteering opportunities, Experiencing Learning Programmes etc. across the country not confined by geographical limitations and promoting an environment of inclusive approach. Through the network of Youth Volunteers, MY Bharat shows its expanding outreach among youth.
