SHRI ANIL FIROJIYA: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार्ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) the current status of the upgradation of National Highways (NHs) in Ujjain; (b) the time by which the pending road projects are likely to be completed; (c) the specific steps taken to reduce the road accidents; (d) the details of the plan for the construction of the Ujjain Bypass or Ring Road; and (e) the details of the proposals to connect rural roads with National Highways? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI) (a) & (b) The details/status of upgradation of National Highways in Ujjain are as under: Sr. Length Current Status Neme of Project No. (in km) 4-lane Dewas-Ujjain of NH- Completed 1 41.42 752D 2 4-lane Ujjain-Badnawar of 69.10 CompletedNH-752D 4-lane Ujjain-Garoth of NH- Completed 3 752D interchange with 136.76 National Expressway-4. 2 lane with Paved shoulder completed and 4 Ujjain-Jhalawar of NH-552G 133.57 Four laning of it is at Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation stage. 4 Laning of Badnawar- Approved on 10.03.2026. 5 Petlawad-Thandla-Timarwani 80.45 section of NH-752D (c) All safety measures, as per Indian Road Congress (IRC) norms and specifications/guidelines, have been completed. (d) In the Ujjain, two nos. of Bypass have been constructed as per the following details: - Sr. Length Neme of Project No. (in km) 1 4-lane Dewas-Ujjain of NH-752D (Ujjain Bypass) 7.067 2 4-lane Ujjain-Badnawar of NH-752D (Ujjain Bypass) 13.413 (e) The Government in Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is primarily responsible for the development of National Highways, and the development of rural/village roads come under the purview of respective State Governments. *****
