Parliament Question: Utilization of funds under NUDM

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION No. 4046 ANSWERED ON 30/03/2026 UTILIZATION OF FUNDS UNDER NUDM 4046. SHRI DEREK O’ BRIEN: Will the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs be pleased to state: (a) the details of reasons for non-utilisation of funds allocated under National Urban Digital Mission (NUDM) in BE 2025-26; and (b) the details of funds allocated and utilised under the NUDM during the last five years, year-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a): The National Urban Digital Mission (NUDM) has been conceptualized as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme to achieve efficient citizen centric governance, increased ease of living, optimal utilization of technology and data-led governance in delivery of services to citizens across all States and UTs. The revised contour of scheme is under deliberation with the stakeholders at Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). Accordingly, the funds allocated under NUDM in BE 2025- 26 have remained unutilised.
