ANDHRA PRADESH LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SESSION: 3 G.O.RT.No. 144 Date: 07-03-2012 LCQ No. 396 (Starred) Notice given by Sri Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, MLC., Will the Minister for Social Welfare be pleased to State: Question a) Whether it is a fact that No. of bogus SC Certificates were issued to the ineligible candidates in the State: b) Whether it is also fact that the SC Certificate issued are not proportionate to the SC population in the State; and c) If so, the action being taken in this regard? Answer a) Yes Sir. (88) False/bogus SC Caste Certificates were issued to ineligible Candidates in the State. b) Yes Sir. SC caste certificates are issued only on the request of the individuals and not on population basis. c) The District Collector’s and the District Level Scrutiny Committee were requested to cancel the false / bogus SC caste certificates.
