Secretary to Government, Social Welfare Department – Due to Retire from
service on the afternoon of 30-04-2012 on attaining the age of superannuation -
Permission to en-cash balance of Earned Leave and Half Pay Leave at her credit

Read the following:-
1. G.O.Ms.No.154, Finance (FR.I) Dept., dated 04.05.2010.
2. From Smt. Shalini, Joint Secretary to Government, Social Welfare
Dept., application dated 22-02-2012.

ORDER:
In the application 2nd read above, Smt. Shalini, Joint Secretary to
Government, Social Welfare Department who is due to retire from service on the
afternoon of 30-04-2012 on attaining the age of superannuation has requested to
permit her to en-cash balance of Earned Leave and Half Pay Leave at her credit
as on the date of her retirement i.e., on the afternoon of 30-04-2012.
2. In the G.O 1st read above, Government have issued orders to the effect
that Leave on Half Pay may also be surrendered for encashment subject to the
condition that the total of Earned Leave + Half Pay Leave does not exceed 300
days.
3. The Individual is having 163 days of Earned Leave and 132 days of Half
Pay Leave at her credit as on the date of her retirement i.e. 30.04.2012.
4. In pursuance of the Orders issued in G.O 1st read above Smt. Shalini,
Joint Secretary to Government is permitted to surrender the balance of Earned
Leave i.e. 163 days and Leave on Half Pay i.e.,132 days (together 295 days) at
her credit as on 30.04.2012 A.N. for encashment.
5. Certified that the Officer has availed Extraordinary Leave only once during
the entire Service i.e. from 1.08.1993 to 14.12.1993
6. Certified that the Earned Leave and Leave on Half Pay has been
calculated up to 30.04.2012 only and the leave account is closed. Necessary
entries have been made in the Service Register of the above Officer.
7. The expenditure shall be debited to the Head of Account to which the pay
and allowances of the Officer are normally drawn.
8. This order does not require the concurrence of the Finance Department
under rules and orders on the subject.
9. The Social Welfare (Claims) Department shall draw and disburse the
encashment of leave amount to Smt. Shalini, Joint Secretary to Government,
Social Welfare Department.
