Read the following: From the Commissioner of Social Welfare, AP, Hyderabad, Letter Rc. No. I.1/763/2011 dated 4.6.2011. * * * ORDER: The Commissioner of Social Welfare, AP, Hyderabad, in the reference read above, has forwarded the proposal for reimbursement of medical expenses of Late Sri. A.S.Ananda Rao, Hostel Welfare Officer, Govt., SWBH No. 3, Chittoor District towards treatment of Late Sri. A.S.Ananda Rao, HWO (Retd.) for ‘Multiple Hemorrhagic Contusions’ during the period from 21.7.2010 to 16.8.2010 at Apollo Specialty Hospital, Anna Salai, Chennai. It has been reported that Late Sri. A.S.Ananda Rao, HWO, while in service, had met with a Road Accident on 20.7.2010 while he was travelling by Motor Cycle and sustained head injury, he was admitted in Govt. Hospital, Chittor and they referred the case to CMC Hospital, Vellore also referred to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. As he was in a bad condition and in view of the critical emergency condition of the patient, he was taken to Apollo Hospital, Chennai for the treatment where he was treated from 21.7.2010 to 16.8.2010. Sri. A.S.Ananda Rao was reported to have died on 30.10.2011, while he was in Govt. service. The Deputy Director, Social Welfare, Chittoor has reported that Smt. G.Rukmini, aged 39 years is the legal wife of Sri. Late A.S.Ananda Rao. 2. Sri. A.S.Ananda Rao has claimed for Medical Reimbursement of Rs. 5,30,190/- incurred towards his treatment and the claim was made while he was alive. The Director of Medical Education after scrutiny of the Medical Bills has limited the ceiling to Rs. 1,00,000/- and approved the Net admissible amount as Rs. 90,000/- after deducting 10% cut in terms of G.O. Ms. No. 74, HM & FW (K1) Department dated 15.3.2005 and cleared the claim informing that the claim may be allowed on getting relaxation orders from the Government since the treatment was taken at unrecognized Private Hospital outside the state not renewed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 3. Government after careful examination of the claim of Medical reimbursement in detail, hereby accord special sanction for an amount of Rs. 90,000/- (Rupees Ninety thousand only) in favour of the legal heir of Late Sri. A.S.Ananda Rao, HWO, towards medical expenses incurred for the treatment of Late Sri. A.S.Ananda Rao, HWO for ‘Multiple Hemorrhagic Contusions’ during the period from 21.7.2010 to 16.8.2010 at Apollo Specialty Hospital, Anna Salai, Chennai, in relaxation of the conditions stipulated in APIMA Rules, 1972 read with G.O. Ms. No. 74, HM & FW(K1) Department dated 15.3.2005, G.O.Ms. No. 180, HM & FW (K1) Department dated 11.5.2006, G.O. Ms. No. 105, HM & FW (K1) Department dated 9.4.2007 and G.O. Ms. No. 397, HM & FW(K1) Department dated 14.11.2008, as the treatment is taken in an un-recognized private hospital outside the State of Andhra Pradesh. [P.T.O]::2:: 4. The expenditure sanctioned at para 3 above, shall be debited to the relevant Head of Account. 5. The Commissioner of Social Welfare, AP, Hyderabad, shall take further necessary action in the matter. 6. This order is issued in concurrence with the Finance (Expr.
