SOCIAL WELFARE AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT DEPARTMENT--Amendment to the Adhoc rules relating to the Temporary Posts of Joint Director in Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department for the Tamil Nadu General Service.

The Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department has issued an amendment to the Adhoc rules relating to the Temporary Posts of Joint Director in Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department for the Tamil Nadu General Service as per G.O. Ms. No. 59, Social Welfare and Women Empowerment (SW1-1), dated 11th June 2025, வைகாசி 28, விசுவாவசு, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2056. The notification number is SRO B-28/2025. This amendment, made in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, modifies the Rules published with the Social Welfare Department Notification No. SRO B-358/78, at page 415 of Part III-Section 1(b) of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 2nd August 1978. It came into force on and from the 10th July 2008.
The amendment omits the expression "Regular appointment to the post shall be made in consultation with the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission" from rule 3 of the said Rules.
