NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th November, 2015
The National Highways Authority of India (Transaction of Business) Amendment Regulations, 2015
No.NHAI/BM-11041/122/2011-Coord.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 35, read with section
9, of the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988 (68 of 1988), the National Highways Authority of India hereby
makes the following regulations further to amend the National Highways Authority of India (Transaction of Business)
Regulations, 1997, namely: -
1. Short title and commencement:- (1) These regulations may be called the National Highways
Authority of India (Transaction of Business) Amendment Regulations, 2015.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In regulation 4 of National Highways Authority of India (Transaction of Business) Regulations, 1997
(hereinafter referred to as the principal regulations), for sub-regulation (1), the following sub-regulation
shall be substituted, namely:-
“(1) No meeting of the Authority is to be considered legal and valid unless –
“attended by two third of total in-position members and three fourth of the part-time
(Government) in-position members.”

Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III – Section 4, dated 2nd February, 2009.
EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM
Anything done or omitted to be done prior to notification of this amendment shall not be affected by
promulgation of this amendment.
