NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th February, 2015
No. DE-130-2014.—-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20 of the Dentists Act, 1948, the
Dental Council of India with the previous sanction of the Central Government, hereby makes the following
Amendments to the existing principal Dental Council of India (Miscellaneous) Regulations, 2007, published
in Part III, Section 4 of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated 29th June 2007:-
1. Short title and commencement:-
(i) These Regulations may be called the Dental Council of India (Miscellaneous)
(1st Amendment) Regulation, 2015.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In “Dental Council of India (Miscellaneous) Regulation, 2007”, the following inspection procedure,
shall be inserted at serial number 14:-
“14. Procedure of DCI Inspections
(i) The inspection should be strictly confidential.
(ii) The whole inspection necessarily be video-graphed and also be
viewed by the Executive Committee.
(iii) The Council inspectors/visitors must sign an undertaking with
regard to legal/criminal action against him/her if found indulge in
any kind of corrupt practices.
(iv) If any false affidavit is submitted by any faculty, action would be
initiated for cancellation of his/her registration and legal/criminal
action may also be initiated.
(v) The dental colleges should normally be given one opportunity for
compliance in respect of their deficiencies.
(vi) Doctors from the Defence Services those are active teachers should
also be appointed as Council’s Inspectors.”
