(i) Must Possess any Post Graduate degree awarded by a university recognized by the University Grants Commission including Post Graduate degree awarded by the Tamil University, Thanjavur and (ii) Must possess one year Post Graduate diploma in Epigraphy and Archaeology awarded by the Institute of Epigraphy, Department of Archaeology/ two years Post Graduate diploma in Archaeology or in Epigraphy, awarded by the Institute of Archaeology and Museology, Department of Archaeology /Post Graduate diploma in Archaeology awarded by the Archaeological Survey of India; and 3. Ms. No. 195, Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments (MA-2), 12th May 2023, சித்திரை 29, ச�ோபகிருது, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2054.] No. SRO B-31/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the adhoc rules published in Tamil Development Culture Department Notification No. SRO B-244/89 at pages 180–181 in Part III—Section 1(b) of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 2nd August 1989:- Amendments In the said Rules,- 1) for rule 1, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:- “The Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 2016] and the Special Rules applicable to the holders of the permanent post in the Tamil Nadu General Subordinate Service shall apply to the holders of the temporary post of Assistant Archaeological Officer in the Department of Archaeology, subject to the following modifications:-”; (2) in rule 5,- (1) in sub–rule (b), for the table, the following table shall be substituted, namely:- The Table. Must Possess any Post Graduate degree awarded by a university recognized by the University Grants Commission including Post Graduate degree awarded by the Tamil University, Thanjavur; and 2. Must have served as Epigraphical Attender in the Department of Archaeology for a period of not less than five years. (2) sub-rule (c), shall be omitted; (3) for rule 7, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:- “7. Pay.- There shall be paid to the holders of the post a monthly pay calculated in Level–11 of Pay Matrix (Rs.35,400- Rs.1,30,400).” ; (4) after rule, as so substituted, the following rule shall be added, namely,- “8. Reservation of Appointment.- Section 27 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 2016] relating to reservation of appointments shall apply for appointment to the post by direct recruitment.” CHANDRA MOHAN B, Principal Secretary to Government.
