Posted On: 05 FEB 2026 4:41PM by PIB Mumbai Pune, 5 February 2026 Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune, will host its Annual Convocation Ceremony 2026 for the 31st Batch of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Agri Business Management (PGDM-ABM) on Saturday, 7 February 2026, at 10.00 a.m. at the Shivneri Auditorium, VAMNICOM campus, Pune.
Shri Murlidhar Mohol, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Smt. Minu Shukla Pathak, IRS, Secretary, NCCT, New Delhi will deliver the welcome address.
VAMNICOM, Pune, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, is a premier institute in the field of Cooperative and Agri- Business Management. The PGDM-ABM programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has accorded equivalence of the programme to an MBA degree.
The education programme of VAMNICOM aligns with the vision of the Ministry of Cooperation, “Sahakar Se Samruddhi”, by preparing professionally competent youth to strengthen the cooperative sector. The PGDM-ABM programme is also aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) and offers diverse learning opportunities enabling graduates to work across multiple domains.
Convocation – 31st Batch (2023–2025) Students who have successfully completed the PGDM-ABM 2023–2025 programme (31st Batch) will be awarded their diplomas during the ceremony.
The batch comprises 95 students (43 girls and 52 boys) from 14 states, representing 39 universities across nine agriculture and agri-allied disciplines. VAMNICOM continues its legacy of 100% placements since the inception of the programme in 1993.The placement process witnessed opportunities across diverse sectors such as Agri- Inputs, Cooperatives, Rural Development, Agri-Tech, Banking and Micro- Finance, Consultancy, Commodities and Research, Retail, and E-Commerce.
Leading organizations that recruited graduates from the batch include Amul, KRIBHCO, IFFCO, NCDFI, NAFED, NCCF, ADM, LDC (Commodities), ICICI Bank Ltd., IDBI Bank Ltd., RBL Bank Ltd., Mahadhan Agritech, SMFG, SarvaGram Fincare, Tata Rallis, Sucden India Pvt. Ltd., Deepak Fertilizers, and other prominent companies such as BigBasket, Biostadt, Q & Q Research, and Escorts Kubota, reflecting the industry’s confidence in the competencies and skills of VAMNICOM graduates.
