Central Government hereby notifies the City Civil Court and Additional Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay (Court No. 26) as Special Court for the purpose of the sub-section (1) of section 11 of the said Act for trial of criminal case No. 1 of 2009 (Malegaon Bomb Blast) and all other matters arising therein, related to the said case, as per the directions of the Honble Supreme Court of India in Criminal Appeal No. 1969-70 of 2010.
This notification, S.O. 1862(E), issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Internal Security-I Division, on July 10, 2015, designates the City Civil Court and Additional Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay Court No. 26, as a Special Court under Section 11(1) of the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (34 of 2008). S.O.1862(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 11 of the
National Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (34 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the
Central Government hereby notifies the City Civil Court and Additional Sessions Judge, Greater
Bombay (Court No. 26) as Special Court for the purpose of the sub-section (1) of section 11 of the
said Act for trial of criminal case No. 1 of 2009 (Malegaon Bomb Blast) and all other matters
arising therein, related to the said case, as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India
in Criminal Appeal No. 1969-70 of 2010.
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 11 of the
said Act, the Central Government, on the recommendation of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High
Court of Bombay, hereby appoints Shri S.D.Tekale, Judge, City Civil Court and Additional
Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay as the Judge to preside over the said Special Court.
