NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st April, 2025
S.O. 1557(E).—In pursuance of clause (1) of article 239 of the Constitution, the President hereby
directs that the Administrator of the Union territory of Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar
Islands and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, shall, subject to the control of the President and
until further orders, exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the appropriate Government under
Sub-clause (i) of clause (b) of Sub-section (1) of Section 2 and the State Government under Section 121 of
the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (10 of 2017) within their respective Union territory.
