New Delhi, the 12th August, 2025
S.O. 3674(E).— In pursuance of clause (1) of article 239 of the Constitution, the President hereby
directs that the Administrator of Union territory of Chandigarh, shall, subject to the control of the President
and until further orders, exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the State Government under the
Prisons Act, 1894 (9 of 1894), within the said Union territory.
