Ms. No. 233, Home, (Police-1), 19th May 2025, வைைகாாசி 5, விசுைாைசு, திருைள்ளுைர் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. SRO A-14/ 2025.—The following Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, New Delhi No. 191 in G.S.R. 230(E), dated 16th April 2025 is republished:- G.S.R.230(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (LXI of 1951) read with sub-rules (1) and (2) of Rule 4 of the Indian Police Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955, namely:- 1. (i) These regulations may be called the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Second Amendment Regulations, 2025. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulation, 1955, in the Schedule for the heading “Tamil Nadu” and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted namely: Tamil Nadu 1. [G.O. Ms. No. 45, Home, Prohibition and Excise VI(2), 27th May 2025, வைைகாாசி 13, விசுைாைசு, திருைள்ளுைர் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. SRO A-15/ 2025.— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (in Shops and Bars) Rules, 2003:- Amendments. In the said Rules, - (1) in rule 8, in sub-rule (1), for the third proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:- “Provided also that if any place of worship, educational institution comes into existence subsequent to the establishment of the shop, the provisions of this rule shall not apply. However, if any representation is received objecting to the location of the shop established prior to the establishment of any educational institution within the distance as specified in sub-rule (1), the same shall be considered by the Collector on merits and orders passed thereon within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of such representation.”; and (2) in rule 9A, in sub-rule (1), for the expression “under sub-rule (3) of rule 8 or under rule 9”, the expression “under sub-rule (1) of rule 8 or under sub-rule (3) of rule 8 or under rule 9” shall be substituted.
