Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has congratulated all the Padma Awardees from
Maharashtra for their outstanding contributions to the nation.
Acknowledging Maharashtra’s rich contribution to the fields of art, literature, music, sports, and
industry, Shri Shah said that the state has long been a land of work and achievement for many
distinguished personalities.
Responding to a post on X announcing the Padma Awards 2026, Shri Shah said:
Maharashtra has been the Karma Bhoomi for many distinguished personalities from the fields of
art, literature, music, sports, and industry.
It is a matter of great pride that Shri Dharmendra has been selected for the Padma Vibhushan;
