NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th September, 2017
G.S.R.1208 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub- section (2) of section 141
of the Border Security Force Act, 1968 (47 of 1968), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to
amend the Border Security Force, General Duty Cadre (Non-Gazetted) Recruitment Rules, 2015, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Border Security Force, General Duty Cadre (Non-Gazetted) Recruitment
(Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Border Security Force General Duty Cadre (Non-Gazetted) Recruitment Rules, 2015,-
(a) in rule-4, for the words “pay and grade pay or pay scale” at both the places, the words “level in the pay matrix” shall
be substituted;
(b) in the Schedule,-¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(i)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
(i) against serial number 1 relating to the post of Inspector,-
(A) for column(4) and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“ Level in the pay matrix
(4)
Level-7(Rs.44900-142400/-)”;
(B) in column (11), under heading “Promotion”, Note 2 shall be omitted;
(ii) against serial number 2 relating to the post of Sub-Inspector,-
(A) for the entries under column (4), the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-
“Level-6 (Rs.35400-112400/-)”;
(B) in column (11),-
(I) under heading “Promotion”, Note 2 shall be omitted;
(II) under heading “Deputation”, Note 3 shall be omitted;
(iii) against serial number 3 relating to the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector,-
(A) for the entries under column (4), the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-
“Level-5 (Rs.29200-92300/-)”;
(B) in column (11),- under heading “Promotion”, Note 2 shall be omitted;
(iv) against serial number 4 relating to the post of Head Constable,-
(A) for the entries under column (4), the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-
“Level-4 (Rs.25500-81100/-)”;
(B) in column (11),- under heading “Promotion”, Note 2 shall be omitted;
(v) against serial number 5 relating to the post of Constable,-
(A) for the entries under column (4), the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-
“Level-3 (Rs.21700-69100/-)”;
(B) in column (11),- under heading “Deputation/Re-employment”, Note 3 shall be omitted.
