NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th May, 2017
G.S.R. 533(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub- section (2) of section 141 of
the Border Security Force Act, 1968 (47 of 1968), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the
Border Security Force, Proof Reader Combatised Posts, Recruitment Rules, 2012, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Border Security Force, Proof Reader Combatised Posts, Recruitment
(Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into Force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Border Security Force, Proof Reader Combatised Posts, Recruitment Rules, 2012 (hereinafter referred to as
the said rules), for rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-
“3. Number of post, classification and Level in the pay matrix.—The number of posts, their classification and
the level in the pay matrix attached thereto, shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule
annexed to these rules.”,
3. In the said rules, in the schedule,
(A) against serial number 1, relating to the post of Sub-Inspector(Proof Reader)-,
(I) in column (4),-
(i) for the heading, the following heading shall be substituted, namely:-
“Level in the pay matrix.”;
(ii) for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :-
“Level - 6 (Rs. 35400 - 112400).”;
(II) in column 11,-
(a) under sub-heading “Deputation (including short term contract)/Promotion”,-
(i) in item (a), sub-item (ii), for the words and figures “pay band-I in the scale of Rs. 5200-20200 and
Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-”, the words and figures “Level-5 in the pay matrix Rs. 29200-92300/-” shall
be substituted;
(ii) Note 1, for the words and figures “Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-”, the words and figures “Level-5 in

(iii) Note 2 shall be omitted;

existing entry under column (4), the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-
“Level - 5 ( Rs. 29200-92300/-)”.
