(भारत म ें अंतर्देिीय िलमागों का र्गीकरण) जर्जनयम 2022 म ें संिोधन करन े के जलए जनम्नजलजखत जर्जनयम बनाता ह,ै
अथागत:-
1. (1) इन जर्जनयमों को भारतीय अतं र्देिीय िलमागग प्राजधकरण (भारत म ें अंतर्देिीय िलमागों का र्गीकरण) (संिोधन)
जर्जनयम, 2025 कहा िाएगा।
(2) ये सरकारी रािपत्र म ेंप्रकािन की तारीख स ेलाग ू होंगे।
2. भारतीय अंतर्देिीय िलमाग ग प्राजधकरण (भारत म ें अतं र्देिीय िलमागों का र्गीकरण) जर्जनयम, 2022 म,ें जर्जनयम 3
म,ें उप-जर्जनयम (4) के स्ट्थान पर, जनम्नजलजखत उप-जर्जनयम प्रजतस्ट्थाजपत दकया िाएगा, अथागत्: -
(4) “िल ग्रहण, बर्थगिं िेटी या फ्लोटटंग टर्मगनल के जनमाणग के मामले में, ऐसे जनमागण की संरचना को नेजर्गेिन
चैनल से कम से कम उस र्दरू ी तक मुि रखा िाएगा, िो नीचे र्दी गई ताजलका के स्ट्तंभ (3) म ें जनर्र्दष्टग ह,ै िो ताजलका
के संबंजधत स्ट्तंभ (2) में जनर्र्दष्टग राष्ट्रीय िलमागों की श्रणे ी के अनुसार ह।ै "

New Delhi, the 7th July, 2025
F.No. IWAI-15019/2/2022-Hy.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 35 read with
clause (g) of sub-section (1) and clause (g) of sub-section (2), of section 14 of the Inland Waterways
Authority of India Act, 1985 (82 of 1985), the Authority with the previous approval of the Central
Government, hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Inland Waterways Authority of India
(Classification of Inland Waterways in India) Regulations 2022, namely: –
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Inland Waterways Authority of India (Classification of
Inland Waterways in India) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Inland Waterways Authority of India (Classification of Inland Waterways in India)
Regulations, 2022, in regulation 3, for sub-regulation (4), the following sub-regulation shall be substituted,
namely: -
“(4) In the case of construction of water intake, berthing jetty or floating terminal, the structure of
such construction shall be free from navigation channel at least for the distance specified in column
(3) of the table below, in respect of the category of national waterways specified in the corresponding
column (2), of the said table, namely: –
