New Delhi, the 11th January, 2019
G.S.R. 25(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 43 read with section 75 of the Disaster
Management Act, 2005 (53 of 2005), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the National
Institute of Disaster Management Employees (Recruitment and Other Conditions of Service), Rules, 2014, namely:-
1. These rules may be called the National Institute of Disaster Management Employees (Recruitment and Other
Conditions of Service), Amendment Rules, 2018.
2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
3. In the National Institute of Disaster Management Employees (Recruitment and Other Conditions of Service),
Rules, 2014, for rules 8, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-
“8. All appointments to the various posts, except the posts of Executive Director and Professor, on the
recommendation of the Departmental Selection/promotion Committee (for considering appointment/Promotion) as
specified in the Schedule, shall be made by the Executive Director, National Institute of Disaster Management.
Appointment to the post of Executive Director and Professor, on the recommendation of Departmental
Selection/promotion Committee (for considering appointment/promotion); shall be made by the Central Government.”
